In 1977, NASA included a set of phonograph records on board the two Voyager Spacecrafts launched that year. They included photographs, sounds, music and scientific diagrams, and were intended for some far off civilization to find (be it alien or future humanity). They were conveying life on earth, our science, environment and culture for some distant being to discover. Both a message in a bottle and a time capsule, launched out into the endlessness of space.
